Offices & Terms to be Filled

• 1 Mayor Seat - 2 year term
• 2 Council Seats - 4 year terms each
• 1 City Clerk Seat - 4 year term
• 1 City Treasurer Seat - 4 year term

Nomination Period

The nomination period begins Monday, July 15, 2024 and closes on August 9, 2024. Candidates must make an appointment with the Deputy City Clerk, Delia Granados at dgranados@coachella.org or (760) 398-3502 extension 102 to pull and file nomination papers.

*If an eligible incumbent for any seat does not file nomination papers by the deadline, the nomination period for each of the seats will be extended to August 14, 2024.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old
• Must be a United States Citizen
• Must be a registered voter living in the city of Coachella at the time Nomination Papers are issued
• Need to obtain no less than 20 nor more than 30 signatures from city registered voters on the official nomination papers
