The La Entrada Specific Plan is a comprehensive amendment to, and expansion of, the approved McNaughton Specific Plan, for property located on the south side of the I-10 Freeway, east of the All-American Canal, and north of Avenue 52. The plan provides a regulatory framework to provide design guidance, development regulations, and implementation measures for the build-out of the Specific Plan area over the next 20 years, through 2032. The La Entrada Specific Plan proposes a master planned residential and commercial/mixed-use community on 2,200 acres within the City of Coachella and its approved Sphere of Influence, including a new I-10 Freeway Interchange to connect with Avenue 50. The City Council took action to approve the La Entrada project on November 13, 2013. |
