The city of Coachella applied for and was awarded a Tobacco Grant for the purposes of providing education as well as enforcement of tobacco related laws within the City of Coachella.  Community Service Officer Fregoso was assigned to our Thermal Sheriff Station to focus on anti-tobacco outreach and education of school aged children and adults, as well as enforcement on school grounds and throughout our community. 

Officer Fregoso was assigned to this position in early March 2022 and in partnership with the city of Coachella, has developed a new Anti-Tobacco Campaign “GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE CLOUD… your health is WORTH IT!”
